π Lyrics
Here's another demo from 1990, Perfect Day, hmm
And then actually threw away one of theβ, yeah
The one of the songs that was intended to close the album, right?
Yes, uh, we added this song called Queen of Rain
Was supposed to be the, the closing song of, of the Joyner album
Uh, but then uh, we prepared for this uhm, uhm, big, big Tour coming up, world tour coming up
And our backing vocalist Vicki Bankert, uh
She was a great accordion player
So we uh, we decided to make a song uh
Which included an accordion so we could close the whole set with the live set
So I wrote, uh, Perfect Day together with Matt Sparson from Julian Theater
Uh, and it uh, it became a beautiful track, Marie sang it, beautifully
And, and uh, we just chose that song instead of Queen of Rain
We kept Queen of Rain
So it became the closing track of the next album instead
Which was tourism
And then actually threw away one of theβ, yeah
