I've got a good buddy of mine, he's from up local hill, New Mexico
And uh, he'd come down one day and we went up to see his grandfather
Up near Oklahoma city, there was full blood Indian in him
He was passing on, is what happened, and
On the way up there, the way it does in Oklahoma, a lot of people go to him
Thunder and clouds would come up, then lightning, everything gets more rain
Anyhow we got up there to, we got up there near Oklahoma City
And uh, what it is, we got a treaty with the Indians
The government has a treaty with them, it's supposed to give them
The best hospital care they have
But uh, this old gentleman he went on up in the women's wing of an old folk's home
And had to look like an Indian on the nickel
Only his laying down hadn't too thrown his nose
