Coming Clean

I finally decided late last night
I had to get some laundry off my mind
The weight of the world on my shoulder
So i told her
What i worked so hard to hide
It seemed like a good idea at the time

Why does coming clean feel so dirty
It all came out in the wash but i'm still filthy
I thought no more nights of losing sleep
But the guilt keeps eating away at me

She wanted to know about every indiscretion

Even though i tried and tried

I know that i can't unsay what i said
It just all went so much better in my head
