Buying things won't make us happy
Consumer culture will make us feel crappy
About ourselves and our skewed senses of beauty

And our dissatisfaction stems from a history of compliance
Men and women buying the things
that they don't need at inflated prices
In a terribly futile search for half-priced happiness
