Engine

I've been drinking all night
and I've been thinking that somethings just not right
Thoughts focus in then fade out
and then it seems that this engine is running out of steam.
I'm tryin' to find all the pieces to this part of my life but I can't reach it.
I'm tryin' to see if this is all for me.
I grab but feel my fingers slipping away.
I'm trying to find those pieces to my mind.
Read them, hold them, or leave'em all behind.
I'm slipping away.
