A shelter

Can you see the man that I became?
As the well was my shelter, I shed my shadow
Left it lying on the floor, in front of the closet
In whichI hid my crown of shame
I walk without the weight of doubt
Stand among you as an equal
And I look upon what I have gained
Hope remains that I will find
A house of light to lock away my darkness
