I heard a shot in the woods today
Well are you here?
You loomed so large but you easily
Disappear
For another weekend wiled away
In the open air

So far from your reach
But you just can't be satisfied
I know what you seek
See that darkness in your eyes

These woods belong to the trigger man
He guards his turf
He stands his ground while the fallen stag
Thuds on the earth

He drags him home and he pins him up
Above the hearth
I know that you're bright
You're too focused on yourself
If half the world was light
And the other half turned off
