Drained

All my conceptions and dreams
Eaten up by harsh reality
Dragged down into a pit of hopelessness
I collapsed under the strain

But I can't find no peace
And I can't find no rest

Hopeless
Sleepless
Too much for a single man
Too tired to rise again

With eyes opened wide
I peer into the darkness
I'm sick of being awake
But I'm afraid to fall asleep

Nightmares rob me of my sleep
They haunt me
Sleep deprivation
Torture in the cruellest way
