I'm writing you this message to apologize
For every single pretext and all my lies
Tried to justify my actions stead of just being true
Didn't think when I cut ties with dad I'd lose you too
We've seen each other 3 times since I shut him out
And every time we get together we have less to talk about
The type of guilt I feel pretty hard explain
Feel like I left you all alone and now I'm watching you change
Shoulda been that influence to set you on the right path
And show you money can't buy love because materials don't last
And booze are only fun on October 31st
Otherwise they an excuse so you can hide from your hurt
