Fade to Black

We're falling harder, fading faster
Begging for a change of pace
Yesterday's gone to waste
What's different about today?
We're scattered pieces out across the floor
Picking ourselves up like we've done so many times before
Each day's just like the last
Sometimes gone too fast
Holding on in hopes of something more
But what are we waiting for?

There are nights when I close my eyes
