In Decayed Embrace

As the sun's power wanes
The heavenly light doth slowly fade
As the night sky falls
Dusk returns all to a wintry grave

Against thee, ancient stone walls
A candle flame dance unto the shade
Harkening - the shadows lengthening
Faltering - casting ever unto the gloom
Flickering dimly; to darkness enveloping
A deep foreboding of thy doom

Amidst the coming of death's freezing mists
From untold depths of nothingness
Arise - Nightmare realm of non-existence
Towards the pantheon of emptiness

Within this domain of neverness
Nothing is or shall ever be
Infinite void; nihilistic abyss
All corporeal vanish into obscurity

Thou failing light extinguished
Icy winds ravage desolate barren wastes
While all is veiled in endless darkness
Awaiting a never coming day
