Night, my sanctuary
As light fades I am renewed
Drawn by evening's spell
As sky fades to black from blue

I left the path by eventide
My steps the only sound
Beneath the boughs, a moonlit way
Wonders waiting to be found

Sing to me across the waves
Light my path though mysteries
Where all my hope remains

Heralded by evergreens
Across the verdant bed
To stride toward the numinous
To walk where moonbeams led
To be reminded of my place
My own impermanence
To step upon the bridge of stars
And cross the firmament

I felt the night upon my skin
Thunder of the tide
I saw the moon reflected
Where sea and sky collide

Sing to me across the waves
Light my path through mysteries
Where all hope remains

And as the nightjar calls
The chorus of the dawn
I wept in quiet gratitude
For this place where I belong
