My Covenant

Only a blank sheet facing me
The rough touch of paper brings me back
Here where I can get rid of all the veils
A series of fears, thougths, prayers
All I have hidden, I've spent so many sleepless nights
Trying, trying to figure out
How could I stand with it
So I put that in writing, and I go through it
The more I read my words, the more I reflected and
Crying my heart out, and somehow, also found some peace
None of these will ever see the light of day
My covenant, my writings will follow me
I won't get them away
It will not be a weight, it will be my trusted ally
The last thing from witch I'll depart, my covenant
Rewind the tapes, images flowing in front of me
Bitter tears flow from my eyes
Sobs that make crack the bones in my chest
Without useless burdens, I am not afraid anymore
My own worth, the very essence of my self will drive me there
I accept my mistakes
All of them
But even the slightest I believe should be by my side
