Distant Ships

Not so much a day for talking
Just be near me
You don't have to hear me
Say what you know
We'll listen to the wind blow
Through the trees
A symphony of leaves
Surrounded by
The ocean and the sky

If we wait just one more hour
Will the tide get
Our sandy feet wet
Or will we take
Our blanket and make
For higher ground
