I'm still stuck out here
Don't even know how long it's been
It's getting more clear
That there's nothing left to be seen
I got a little wiser
I'll burn the trees, I'll dig the earth
I'll be still around here
In ten years or so, just wait and see

I did all the groundwork
Now they're probably gonna throw it away
I don't know what it's worth
And I'm not gonna get my say
I still wake up early
My bones, they ache, my shoes are falling apart
Still wearing the same clothes
My pants don't fit, my shirt's still ripped
