I was wakened by a scream
Was it real or just a dream?
With sleepy eyes I looked around
Do you guess what I found out?
Everything had changed its shape
Instead of clothes there lay a cape
My bedroom had increased in size
The style was somehow future-wise
I stood up to search for clues
Looked for a radio to hear the news
Suddenly a big screen lit
There were news, just a little bit
Much was said about a war
Robots'd won the battle so far
Then my eyes struck a date-book's page
First of May, three thousand eight
Such a shock I've never had!
Future'd caught me in my bed
Thousand years ahead of time
Man was slave of the robot's crime
Automatic warfare spread
All machines had become a threat
Future is a place to fear
Wanna go back, don't keep me there!
