Lizards on the White Wall

I was looking at the lizards on the white wall
Looking at 'em like, are they gonna fall?
And I was thinking bout running away
Over the hill, and into the sway

Flowers grow in the night
But they say that it happens because of the light
I think we're all pretty similar
Walking through a world of familiar

So why don't we get away?
Out of the dark and in to the haze
And we won't know where we're going
But I guess it's better than knowing

There's no lizards left on the white wall
Tails cut and I watch them fall
We never ran away
And you turned and walked again
And flowers don't grow in the winter time
I used to be yours and you used to be mine
