Somber skies towering before us, closing in at breakneck speed
Distant flashes testifies, to the gravity of the situation

Infernal rain from below sets the sky ablaze above me
Life passes before my eyes, airborne into war

These faces do not lie, survival is far from guaranteed
Facing the whirling aerial abyss, we prepare for annihilation

Attached to static lines, one by one we submerge
The pillars of searchlights scavenge for victims in the sky

The obscurity of the setting, clouds my sense and judgement
I twitch and cringe, praying not to get hit
But all I can see, death smiling at me
