Hunted

Dusk. surrounded by the trees,
patiently waiting for the moon to appear
to guide me through the deadly and deceiving shadows

Finally, I can see a light enough to get me going
I start to walk through the still dark forest,
afraid of what I'll meet
Suddenly, I feel shadows gripping a hold of me
holding me strong, hard. I can't move so I start to scream

And then he appears
His eyes are glowing in the vague moonlight
He's dark. he's evil
he's the restless soul I've been feeling in me
Possessed when I sleep!

I tear the hold of the shadows apart and into the forest I run
hardly breathing, still screaming and I' m longing for the sun

Stop, don't run away, I know your wish is to stay
Subconsiously I know he's right, if I run I know I will pay
I fall, hit my face on the ground
But the pain I felt was nothing to the pain
I felt when he killed me

And then he appears
