Lord of the Black Gulf

Rivers coursing through earthen veins*
Urgent necessary pulse
A creature still young clawing through the soil
Into black shining seas
Eleven shining black towers
Yawn endlessly towards the misting heavens
And endlessly down into the shadowless abyss
Fading in a dark fluid sunset
Restful beneath the restless waves
