Deep Dark Divide

You grew up with the feeling that you
were worthy, you were worthy of that support.
I don't think I grew up with that feeling.
I think I grew up with the feeling that um
as long as I didnt bother them I was okay.
as long as i didn't um as long as I wasnt too um noisy or
too busy around them or something like that, that was okay.
so what what I grew up to be and what you grew
up to be are almost like two separate generations.
and I think that if I can talk to myself,
if I can approach myself now with that lie of having to be perfect
and wanting me to be perfect what that entails i
think I can kick the habit of wanting to be perfect.
