Sittin' on the banks of the Brazos wonderin' what I'm gonna do today
my pole's in the water,
and the beer's still cold, but I aint had bite all day
don't know when It was I left the path to
success, but I know it's been more than a year
while the rest of the world was out there runnin'
the rat race, I've been sittin' here drinking beer

should I make up my mind to go down that road,

well I'm a disappointing sight I must
admit, on the river with a beer in my hand
