The sewers fill with blood as more distress comes 'round the bend
And the bodies beg and plead for all their suffering to end
One man alone's responsible for the hardships we endure
He wants the world in ashes to get to what he sees as pure

Across a far horizon lies some promise of some land
So he stares out until clouds are formed by cataract's hand
He squints and lets the blinders cast a darkness left and right
Until the center's all that's left there in his pale and murky sight
