The Fire

Four walls in my head in flames
A mental self-immolation replay
Scratch the blood from a bed bugs kiss
It left a stain

Thrusted from REM
No sense in holding onto my head
Try to unsee the fear in my retinas and brows
Conscious floats to the clouds
As the flames take hold again
Surrender my body to the burn
Again and again
How much of my limbs will crust and turn to dust in the end

Collect my skin don't tell a soul
Compose myself no one has to know

I am so ashamed for living these nameless days
