Inhaling a Bullet

How did it come down to this?
I can't be sure of
What it was I missed
The flags weren't flying

Wait it out or fight?
This could never end
Maybe either way I die
There's nothing left here to defend

I could not breathe without inhaling a bullet

I feel the tension build
In my trigger finger
