Murderers!

Waking daylight, wasted midnights
Hold on to the face on the phone
As they take your labored breath away
The billowing smoke, the corpse of the state
Justice is postponed indefinitely
Left to hide in our homes
Idly by, all alone
As they murder us, as they die

They feign negligence
They are murderous
And every fear for which they keep us chained
Is siphoned out our skulls
Claim they pray for us
As they crater us
When they forsake us to the sirens
We will never recover
