They Died Without Crosses

The lights leave the quarter
to the silent darkness
and to the pestilential
Death

The forbidden zone
is being entangled
in a shroud
of terror

Eradicated cobblestones
lie in a savage disorder,
into the tall weeds
of the dead citadel

Demolished huts fill the streets
Fetid and harmful smells
reign everywhere

Among the spectral dusk,
among the atmosphere,
soaked in pestilential exhalations,
the victim corpses, of merciless Death,
are shed everywhere

Now. A quick succession
of demonic screams
I feel the obsession
that's taking hold of my mind
No place for reason,
in this world of darkness
This is the season
of the dead without cross
