This Listless World

I cast my faith,
Beneath the veil
For what is lost,
Is locked away

We can't escape the teeth of seasons
Much like the flowers chased from bloom.
I've seen them pierce the vein of reason.
I've watched them steal away from you.

The path we often walk,
A fickle one.
With intention unclear,
Our presence is numb.

The thrum of this listless world,
