Of Time

I turned my gaze
To this dull painting
A window opened wide
Link to my soul
Faded earth colors
Brown, ocher, red
And the cold grey
Of a misty embrace

But it's night that gives light the shines bright

I looked inside
To my inner clock
An instant fixed
Long time ago
In deep silence
Where winds blow
In long distance
Where twilight dwells

A mountain so tall
Stands over the horizon
And the grey skies

In blood red mist
Where snow and eternal ice dwell
Among the frost shadows
Icy winds shatter my soul

From this winter kingdom
I hear its call
Its cold spell
Frozen in time

But it's night that gives light the shines bright
