Autumn Leaves

A melancholic veil grabs my heart
Like a catatonic fall into winter's wild harms
Winds of desolation cold they blow
To the misty shadows in the mountain's stormy halls

Autumn's leaves they hover faint
Before winter lays its veil
In crimson winds they gently fall
In a dance of death they roll
Stormy winds are blowing cold
And the dusk is coming down
I let my gaze see the stars
Born out of the darkest night

And the stars they shine bright
In the welkin of the night
For a journey up to the stars
In the shades of the dark

And I walk through the dying woods
Around the mountains in grey and white snow
And I let this inner movement
Begin as the leaves are falling on and on

Autumn's leaves they hover faint
