Sometimes my baby goes away
In the blink of an eye on an ordinary day
I'm right there beside her but all at a loss
No way to reach her, no way to get across
Was it something I did? Was it something I said?
She lies on the bed with her face to the wall

To see her tumble and fall

Sometimes my baby takes a little trip
