Is there more to life than dancing?

I've done my share of dancing
I'm pretty good now, that's what they say
But could it be that I've overdone it?
I've danced my mind away

Last night, I'm on the dance floor
As I was starting to hit my stride
I heard a voice cuttin' through the music
I thought it must be a kid outside

Ten times I heard that callin'
I said, "Hey Sheila, hey what was that?"
She said, "You fool, you ain't hearing nothing"
I said, "It ain't quite as easy as that"

I went to see my doctor
He said it's only a case of nerves
He said, "I'll see you tonight and cure you"
I said, "No, that would just make it worse"
