Opportunities are open ahead of you, you're future's what you want it to be,
When you're down and broke it's the biggest joke, it wouldn't matter if you'd leave it to me now.
Down the road that's open ahead of you, you've got ideas of your own,
Don't expect the most from the second post 'cause it's too far from home now.

School and college are a top priority, if you're not lagging behind,
But there's a friend in town and he'll hold you down and he's an old friend of mine now.
Colleagues looming to the left and the right of you, you're under pressure to lose,
He'll force you in with a goal to win and this prize has it's use now.

Stand back now, and leave me alone, I've got better things to do with my time,
I could be right, you could be wrong, but how will I know, you won't even let me give it a try.
