Hollow Earth

Why would we be meant to achieve greatness?
Why would we be predestined for divinity?
Damned be alive!
And the ones who ceased to live
There are no paths for us to follow
No meaning had stakes, wars and revelations
Erected and faded in a blink of an eye

Why would we be to ascend the skies?
Endure in a crippled form of preservation
Recall the beginning
Witness the end

What is above us?
The divine sparks burnt with a touch of blazing wings
Of fallen angels, rebellious seeds
Sacrificed martyrs of false veneration
Traitors of human will
Wandering through heavens with no clear direction

Thus we look down
We rip the soil to the earth's core
As if the gates of hell were there to greet us
As if there were warm arms awaiting our arrival
In which we could find our peace
But hope is the reason why this place will curse us all

Non-existent
Yet refusing to disintegrate
Crawling in mud
To reach the unreached
In the light of our stars
Bathes the road to nowhere

Vacuum soaks in
Through cracked walls of our shrines
Devouring dreams
Floods minds with black ink

Wretched shells stare at the void
There will be no salvation
Empty skies
Hollow earth
