Lullaby

One more step 'til we're there, I'm unaware of the time
That we've spent tied to the rocks that
Dance in the well near the trees.

We will go walking for miles
In gardens and steeples, rock piles,
No longer with this all alone,
Wearing the petals we've grown.

Take that step and you'll see
The box with the wings in the dirt.
It holds one cup of the moon, some
Yellow a tune quite like this.

Someday the winter will come,
But I will keep up with the sun,
You can stay warm in the sand,
With words of the wind in your hand.

I'll be gone for a while,
The stop signs have all turned around,

Feathers fall close to the ground.
