Failing Me

The sun has set and all the clouds have disappeared
The moon shines bright it shows a path but not so clear
As I walk into the into the empty night ahead
I think back of everything we left unsaid

We never spoke about the things you held inside
About the stories that kept you up at night

Thinking back if there were clues that I misread
