A Downfall

As emptiness devourer
Of silent echoes mother
Carved in me a hollow reign made of cold and open veins
I crowned myself, and sat upon this throne
Of shadows as long as coffin nails,
Entangling all the pathways inside of me.
All is darker beyond the weary steps
And light is dying behind this crooked shape.

Screaming midst tombstones unhallowed
I crawled towards the solitary gallow
Rooms and bridges, trains of thoughts and slits of razors
And the weight that choked my breath
Was just what defined myself.

Never found a sense in the suffering of being
Existence is just a downfall
And I'm torn asunder
While I'm falling down

So sombre is the air that lingers
And the shadows are growing longer
As the piercing sound of a cracking ground
Raises an obelisk below wasted clouds.

They begin to bleed.

As the steps are trembling number
And a roar is getting louder
The roar of the raging skies above
I cut loose the rims of my belonging

I start to flow like aether
And my limbs are vines with thorns.
I get numb, colder and colder
As I burn, burn, burn.

And the essence of the star
That was my one and only beating heart
Thrives ablaze, falls into ashes.

I got here to see the rumbling void
Clashing, raging, caked in horror.
I got here to see the world!

Looking down I saw the darkness
Of the abyss of perception.
Looking down I saw myself
Cold and useless, looking upwards.

And the towers and the bridges
Of the fortress of my mind
Started crumbling into pieces
As I saw what's all about.

Life is nothing but a nightmare
And a song that shifts to scream
In a cosmos cold as ashes
Of the arson that is me

Grab my neck and tear me apart
Suffocate what's left of mine
Fill my throat with bitter shame
Bury me without a name
Bury me without a head
Break that vessel of despair without end
Leave my cloth of flames in hell to rot alone
