With Death in Mind

Lost along the way to you.
Feeling self-assured and then it fades to blue.
I need to find what matters most to me,
so I can come back new and not be bogged down
with all these extra thoughts I
hold onto.
Including you.
I'm lost among the hours,
and even though I hear my thoughts get louder
I know in time they'll silence and cower
a simple part of me that's not that
wrong to feel.
If only for a moment
you're real to me.
Real to me.
A memory.
