Sunrise I greet you, the beauty of your light
So warm and tender was never the night
In tears I see you, the last time it will be

The great master Hypnos refused me my sleep
Too many forcing my mind
This was the last night I would ever risen
So I watered my piece of mind

I drank to the devil with servants and all
It's good with a friend where you go
Too many people would share my last chalice
So I drink to the ones that I know
With sad emotions, I sing this epitaph
My swansong, my headstone, the farewell of my heart
The hills of Tyburn, up where the gallows stand
Only the vultures will come to see me hang
Out of my cell, I showed that the sight of me
The gallows enlightened by the moon
I saw when the carpenters bled on the ground
Started to work on my doom

The free men will follow me up to that hill
Morning will come for its time
A killer, a thief and a sinner like me
Together we're sentenced to hang
Soon it is time, the dark has now fled
And I see the place for my death
The priest, he will come with the book in his hand
And pray for salvation and rest

I promise, I won't cry, you won't see me bleed
They'll hang me for my crime
