Scourge of a World Ablaze

To scorch the whole world to ashes
And forge it anew from the chaos and flame
To take it all down in a blaze of hate
And tear through the drape that cradles mankind

To be swallowed by the depths of the chasm
And embrace the shadows and light within
To bring forth an era of reason
With meaningless cries this world swept away

The laws of man, they mean nothing:
As illusions of grandeur to irrational minds,
Are testaments to a deep weakness inside

And masses converge in prayer upon altars of cowardice, self flattery and death
As golden chalices overflow with the blood of the millions of victims of the gospels
Withering gods wreathed in riches and gore adorn halls considered divine
Blinded, teeming, breeding, screaming man devours himself alive

And monuments are levelled & toppled back to dust by the pious
In naïve desperation they cry for salvation from "rapture"
