Dehiscing Emptiness

A lump of ice stuck in my parched throat,
I am trying to understand how to get out of this vacuum
My pulse like a wounded beast bashes on my temples
And I cannot believe all this happens to us

Tiny hands helplessly catching the air,
Trying to hold on the fragile web of the life
Short frequent sighs are the last things that keep you here
And your eyes seek beyond me, like if you tried to find the way

But the dehiscing emptiness engulfs you,
The one that no one can overcome.

I am in a sweat, I fell on my knees,
Simple shaking of a head kicked out the ground from under me
As if in a vacuum I hear muffled scream breaking my soul apart
And the dehiscing emptiness engulfed me.

I got the dehiscing emptiness inside
That I would never overcome.
