It Wasn't Meant to Be

Reality has turned into a swirl
a reverie of people above me
how can I breathe when there's no air
how can I feel
when I am in and out of my body
which is trembling with a new sensation
I have never felt it before
bathing in a blinding light
it must be the end
or a whole new beginning
trying to reach down
to send a message to the loved ones
can't feel any pain
everything is in the right place
things in the past are long forgotten
a new brighter future, like being reborn
but not just yet
a trail of light, a trail of comprehension
