Where Sleeping Gods Dwell

Far beneath
Capricious waves
In death
The great priest awaits
Endless dreams
His meted fate
Deep within r'lyeh
His watery grave

And for strange aeons
In deepest slumber he lies
As one dead
He appears to the naked eye

Leviathan
Of gargantuan girth
Spawn of nug
Fallen to the earth

He is the watcher
Of eternal skies
Yet he is neither
Dead nor alive

In his sleep
The great one strips
And black oceans
Give tentacular birth
As a tremor
Cracks the earth

Chaotic aberrations
Rise enthralled
Drooling madness
Grips them all
Cursed be those
Who heed the call

Far beneath
Capricious waves
From death
The great beast awakes
Rising as
The whole world quakes
In his wake, the end of days

And from black oceans
Now he has returned
Crawling death
Worlds shall burn
