Well, I was standing on a corner waiting to go home
When I heard this sound that made me want to moan
It was coming from a house across the street
It was kind of stompy or stomping with an R&B beat
It was a harmonica

Well I walked across an I stepped inside
There was a whole load of places were a fellow could hide, from
A different sound came from a wooden base stand
Harmonica was playing with an R&B band
Oh– yeah
