Sentience or Selfishness

There's a place I used to know
A place that I called home
A place where I thought everything was going to be fine
You took my family
My friends away from me
And took us to a place that looked like hell quite honestly.

If this is how it's supposed to be
I'll close my eyes so I can't see
And take this image to my grave
And as the blood is drained from me
I'll leave this place so honestly
Another life taken in vein.
