We made off with the teachers of the day
We might as well have sent our natives
Careening off the cliff again

Small man America makes for such a curious case
Of psychologically domestic
Further arrested development

Cannot say I did expand in the hollow of the hills
Cannot say I did expand between the whiskey and the wife

I took a shining to this place, though it offered nothing great

Our children are not here, they're busy bombing the universe
So give them the right tools, right into the left brain
Instead of a locked door, heaven's now just a scream away

The walls at home are equipped to record
But we'll make nothing of it if we will

If I had to equate these sights and sounds to something more
My words of choice would form a vacuum in my lungs

And collapse into a singularity
Coughing up blood in a maze the minotaur navigates
