Snooze Bar

the siren called. we rocked a meeting in the bathroom stall
stop at the red lights to suck the poison out of my snake bite
from a to b, not quite as far as what we used to believe
'cause then I took her home, but still I slept alone.

this must my comfort be, the sun that warms you here shall shine on me
and what must the stars be for if they can't shine enough to make you warm

so good so far but it wasn't me who hit the snooze bar
i paid the cab fare, then take a shower let the sun dry my hair
and it's a daily routine to think of you and if you're thinking of me
until the daylight ends, and then it's time to get dark again
