As I lay awake and await the day
Thinking endless hours of how to win the fight
And I wonder still how I've paid the bills
Where I got the power to always find the light

Now maybe I've spend half my life just killing time
Maybe I was meant for something else
Lately I've been wondering where's the place that I belong
Maybe I've been lying to myself

Driving in my car going not too far
Trying to reach the goals that only heaven knows
Sometimes I feel weak get back on my feet
Got myself to blame if sometimes it gets cold

Now maybe I'm surrounded by such compromise
Maybe I should try as someone else
It seems I haven't found the blessed place where I belong
