Have you felt a void, emptiness inside you?
You can't face the real world, you can't stay true
So you search for false answers that impair your site
The bottle and the cross telling you it's alright

I don't need it I can stand on my own
Neither religion nor drugs I face my problems alone
Without a crutch I face reality
All I ever had was music, friends, and me

This is all we have, this pathetic existence
That destroyed my hope, destroyed my persistence
I will not give up; I will stay true to myself
