Powder Keg

They came from all around
Searching for some common ground
No more direction, than to share a common sun
They made it all the way
Set their roots, here to stay
In a land where the work was never done
They never asked for nothing
Till they ran out of options
Raised their faces to the sky, prayed for rain
When there was every reason
To fear another season
They asked again, in the end nothing came

Here they are now, on a powder keg
Three years, till the earth ran dry
Here we they now, on a powder keg
Bare ground, blood in the sky

Those days went on forever
But they still held together
All accepting, things would never be the same
That night the wolves came calling
And while the sun was falling
Fire spread, sky was red out on the plain
